I know many of us are moved by what we see. Society and the media has subtly made us believe if she wears a revealing outfit, then she’s good for only one thing; SEX. Wrong!!!
That a lion soiled itself with faeces does not make it any less a lion. That a bulb decides not to shine and instead becomes a footmat doesn’t make it less a bulb. That she dressed, walked and talked in a seductive manner is no reason to take advantage of her or see her as nothing but a sexual object. She is not an object created to satisfy your sexual urges
Now, before you discard this as a feminist article, note that we’re not trying to excuse seductive clothes and mannerisms, instead we’re viewing from a different angle.
It’s the angle of responsibility; taking charge from within our circles because our power to change ourselves is far greater than our power to change others. And so, we’re looking inwards.
By the way, did you know ladies are fighting just as many battles as we are? One of which is the temptation to always be the center of attraction and to be desired by everyone no matter what it costs. They’re been inundated with images, texts and videos of the need to reveal a bit more flesh to remain desirable.
She is precious, golden, priced above rubies but sometimes misguided. Yet, she is to be treasured always and in all situations.
We all have a part to play and here’s how;
Don’t give a woman extra attention because of her physical appearance, if she catches your eyes, look away. LOOK AWAY. When you give her the extra attention or drool, you stamp, approve and encourage her to even do more.
If you have daughters, please tell them their value is first in their minds before any other thing. They need to know their beauty and self-worth has nothing to do with their bodies or
clothes.
Tell your friends, brothers, cousins to tow the same line.
It’s tough but we must play our part as men regardless of what the ladies do and hope that some retrace their steps.
